Partner Omar Carmona Named Chair-Elect For the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando

Honorable Judge Scott Paladno of Osceola County administered the Oath of Office to a group of prestigious Central Florida business and community leaders as the new board of directors for the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando. The ceremony took place on April 24, 2014 at Orlando's City Hall. We are honored to announce that Mr. Carmona was sworn in as the Chair-Elect for the organization.

As one of the first recipients of such scholarship himself, Mr. Carmona has served the organization as an at-large Board Member for the past two years. With this new role, he joins executive board and will serve for two years under the leadership of Mrs. Adriana Comellas-Macretti.

The Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando is a non-profit organization designed to support the local Hispanic community, through the creation and establishment of an annual scholarship award to benefit local Hispanic students at universities and colleges throughout Central Florida. Since its inception in 2000, the HHSFMO has awarded more than $800,000 in scholarships to 209 students in Central Florida. For more information visit www.hispanicheritagescholarshipfund.org/
